Projection- A prediction or an estimate of something in the future, based on present data or trends.

Right now the states project to go to Obama puts him ahead in the electoral votes.

How can he be leading, the electoral college, or(votes) as you call them doesn't even convene until after the popular vote has been tallied and made official. Until then, nobody has won any electoral votes. You need to go back and take a civics class.

don't see how raider is being stupid.

the electoral college hasn't convened yet, but it's not like it is a secret how many electoral votes each state has. also, predictions and polls and such show which candidate could potentially win which state. makes it easy to try and figure it out....
